Two new affiliate programs

Published by under Make money online

I have joined into two new affiliate programs. Those programs are Bidvertiser and amazon.com associates program. Those display ad boxes same way than Google Adsense. If you are using Google Adsense, you are limited to three advertising boxes per page. And when joining for example those two ad programs, you have possibility to add more ad boxes to your pages. It is also nice that Bidvertiser is paying minimum of only US $10 via Paypal.

It is interesting to make comparison between those affiliate programs and see which is doing the best money. By using all those three programs I can maximize my advertising income with all my blog pages.

Check your sites value

Published by under General,Traffic

I found a couple of nice sites to check my blog value. Well, at least those will tell some calculated values. But don’t we love those statistics. It will be funny to visit sometimes in those pages and check if your site value have increased.

First link is to dnScoop. By putting your address to textbox and hit “Check it”, it will display a lot of information from your site. For example pagerank and estimated site value. The second link is to Page Strength SEO tool. It shows for example amount of links pointing into your site. Below is a copy+paste about what kind of information you will get with that tool:

The Relative Importance and Visibility of a Webpage
The Potential Strength and Ability of a Page to Rank in the Search Engines
Data on Popularity, Links & Mentions of the Page Across the Web

You can find the same information from other pages too, but in my mind those two links gather a lot of nice to know information from your site.

Local time in header

Published by under General

I think that it is quite handy to show my local time in header. When you leave a comment you can check my local time and make your own predictions that when I probably answer to your comments. And it is also nice to know what time is in different countries.

I think that a lot of my readers are coming from very different timezones. In Europe there is not so big differencies between timezones, a +/- few hours. But when I look timezones in for example USA then there is a major difference, it could be -8 hours. So if I write post at midday it is very early morning (or night) in the USA.

Keep it simple stupid

Published by under General

That is very simple rule (K.I.S.S). And I am also following that rule with my blog posts. I am trying to do things as simple as I can with my blog. You may noticed that I am not playing with any fancy or tricky sentences in my blog. I am trying to write posts as simple language as I can. I only hope that people will understand what I am trying to say with my posts. You can always leave a comment and ask if I can explain my post more.

I found good article from Productivity501 posts, which is related to my todays topic. You can check it out, it is called simplicity .

Sometimes it is better to do things just by the simple way, it may be the fastest way also.
