I have signed into site called Project Wonderful. It is a online auction program where you can sell ad space from your site to highest bidder. If you have a popular site and a lots of traffic, you can make pretty good money by selling ad space from your site.

I am now waiting my invitation code to start selling ad space. So I will inform more as soon as I get my code.

When I moved my entire blog into this domain and changed software from Blogger Beta to Wordpress, I faced a big problem, how I am going to move my posts from Blogger to Wordpress? I was looking for some Wordpress plugins to do that work. It was not a really tempting idea to move all my posts just using copy+paste method. Well, I did not find any good plugins to do that job (from Blogger Beta) . But I was not looking very hard after all.

But I discovered a very easy and fast solution to move all my posts+comments and categories from Blogger Beta to Wordpress. First you have to create account to Wordpress.com, creating account takes about 1 minute. After your account is ready you can play with your new Wordpress blog. We only want to import our Blogger beta posts so go to “Manage” tab and choose “Import”. Choose “Blogger” and after that “Authorize” and grant access to your Blogger beta blog. After that you just need to press “Import” and all your posts and comments are imported to your new Wordpress blog. After that, you have to do “Export” from your current Wordpress.com blog to get posts and comments to your real Wordpress blog. Export all posts to xml file and go to your real Wordpress blog (in my case http://tjantunen.com) . Choose “Manage” tab and “Import” then choose Wordpress, after that you just need to find previously generated xml file from your computers hard drive and that’s it! All your posts, comments and categories are now imported. And you did not need any plugins to do this.

I hope that this will help someone who is in same situation that I was when moving from Blogger Beta to Wordpress.

Welcome to my new domain http://tjantunen.com. I have just today moved my blog into this domain. I am now using wordpress as a blogging software, so you can imagine how much work I had today while updating from blogger to wordpress. I hope that it is worth of all this work.

In the last week I joined to StumbleUpon. I think that it is a good place to promote your blog. There is a lot of people in StumbleUpon and when you site gets stumbled by other people you get more publicity. For a start, it is good to stumble your own page so that people who are viewing your profile will see your stumbled sites. I will make a report after week or two that how this is affected to my traffic rates. I hope that it has a positive effect.

One day I was surfing in internet and I found site called Productivity501. After reading awhile, I found several interesting posts from their site. One which got my attention was iPod giveaway contest. Interesting contest, I thought. And because I do not have a iPod and I sure like to have one, I decided to write this review.

Productivity501 offers a different kind of methods to spend your time more effectively. I started to read posts from that site and immediately noticed that there is a plenty of good tips to get your time schedule well organized. I found this following simple but great advice from topic called Effective web browsing.

Use bookmarks. I have a list of 4 or 5 sites that I check regularly. By putting these all into a single bookmark folder I’m able to open them all in tabs with a single click using Firefox or Safari (IE doesn’t have this feature yet). This way they all load and I can click through skimming each one without loading each one individually.

I decided to join in AGLOCO. AGLOCO is a viewbar which will be located in the bottom of your screen or browser window. It is visible while you are surfing in internet and there is shown different kind of targetted ads, discounts and news for example. You only have to use it 5 hours per month to get money, infact that 5 hours is the maximum amount of time from where AGLOCO is paying per month at the moment. You have always possibility to turn off your viewbar, but it is worth to use that 5 hours per month to get full benefit of it.

There is also search box which you can use instead of your regular search engine. By using viewbar’s search box you can increase your incomes. I think that 5 hours per month is very easy task to achieve. For example you could install viewbar to your work computer, I am sure that 5 hours would be soon collected. (more…)

Today I got my tickets to Metallica concert at 15th July. I have never saw that band playing live, so I am sure that it will be great experience. In many ways this was a great opportunity so see Metallica, they are not visiting very often in Finland. And I have my summer vacation just in the same time.
