I got PageRank 4

Published by TJantunen under General

I just today noticed that I got pagerank 4. In fact, I saw that while I was reading my friend Dylan’s blog WMHaven.com.

I am really pleased to have PR4. I think that PR4 is a good achievement for blog which is less than two months old. Maybe now I can get my blog accepted to for example Text-Link-Ads. I am sure that PR4 will bring a lot of other benefits too, but I am not aware all of those yet.

Week 17 earnings report

Published by TJantunen under Make money online

Now it is time to reveal my week 17 earnings. First number indicates this week earnings and number in the brackets is all time cumulative earnings.

Week 17 earnings report (cumulative)Weekly earnings

Revver.com ……… $0.18 ($6.68)
Adsense ……… $1.39 ($14.25)
Text Link Ads ……… $0
Bidvertiser ……… $0.15 ($0.5)
Bloggind Ads ……… $0 (5$)
AGLOCO (referrals) ……… 0 (1)
Amazon.com ……… $0
Kontera ……… $0.26 ($0.62)
Hits4Pay ……… $0.15 ($10.74)
Subvert and Profit ……… $0.95
Bloggerwave ……… $0
SlashMySearch.com ……… $0.95 ($1.52)
MyLot ……… $0.09 ($0.81)
TOTAL (cumulative)
……… $2.4 ($41.07)

Increases are not very high but maybe a some day those numbers will be much better :) I have got a few referrals for my Hits4Pay and SlashMySearch networks during this week so let’s see how that is going to affect next weeks earnings. I will sure hope that numbers should be better. In fact SlashMySearch has done quite good result in this week at my mind, because I have not used it much during this week.

Amazon.com is doing very bad job. Well, I did foresee that already when I added that to my earnings program. And that kind of advertise is not very suitable for my blo, but let’s keep it with programs at least next week.

StumbleUpon effect

Published by TJantunen under General

Here are some statistic from my StumbleUpon stumble exchange project. That experiment has been running from last Saturday. I have to admit that results have been very good. My visitor rates are increased a lot compared to situation before that project.
My visitors stats

We should not forget Technorati favorites exhange project. Amount of incoming links have increased and therefore a lot more people will find my blog. It is always a good thing to get more blogs linking to your blog.

I think that StumbleUpon will drive traffic to my site a very long time. It is not always so much but I think that there comes somehow steady flow.

Remember that both of those project are ongoing and you can participate of those at any time.

Benefits of having your own domain

Published by TJantunen under General

When I started blogging, I simply put up my blog under Blogger account. It was a very easy way to start own blog. But very soon I started to think of moving blog to own domain name. That’s because my blog target is to make money online and if I put up my blog with some of the free blog hosting services, the only one who benefits is the web hosting company. With your own domain you get more credibility as a blogger. And also with own domain name your address will be something like http://yourblog.com etc. you must admit that it sounds a lot better than for example http://yourblog.freebloghosting.com.

If you decided to monetize your blog with PayPerPost then it is almost a must to have your own domain. That is because all offers in PayPerPost are not available for example blogspot.com blogs. I checked 19 the most valuable offers (price range between $500-$15) and 10 of those excluded free hosting service blogs.

There is a lot of other benefits too and one major benefit is that you get your pages listed into search engines much easier. Because many search engines give a lot of emphasis to the home page of particular domain.

I bought my hosting service from AN Hosting. Their package is ideal for blogging in my mind. Check it out.

AN Hosting offers a number of WordPress Specific features, such as: Automatic WordPress Installation (free of charge) and WordPress Theme Library (also free of charge) access. Hosting package includes unlimited MySQL databases, 17 GB of Disk Space, 500 GB of transfer, Unlimited Sub Domains, Free Fanastico, 99.9% Uptime Guarantee and the ability to host 10 sites on 1 account. No setup fees or hidden charges, just $6.95/month.

With signing up to AN Hosting you will also get $50 Yahoo ad credit, $25 Google ad credit, $25 Enhange Seacrh credit and $20 Seacrh 1-2-3 credit.

Chiptuning my car

Published by TJantunen under Cars

A couple of days ago I got an interesting opportunity to chip tune my car. I got offer 550 eur ($750) if I decided to chip tune my car before June 20th. That sound very tempting idea. I am now driving Volvo S60 2.5T, it got 210 hp and 320 Nm. After chip tuning it would have about 250 hp and 390 Nm, pretty impressive figures, don’t you think? What should I do?

I figured that if I can get that money from this blog, then I probably go and chip tune my car. If I chip tune my car, I will take some acceleration videos of 100-150 km/h, 80-120 km/h before and after tuning so it would be easy to compare results. I think that it would provide some informative and useful data to others who are planning to do chip tuning.

Exchanging StumpleUpon stumbles

Published by TJantunen under Traffic

StumbleUponInspired by Dosh Dosh Technorati favorites exchange I decided to try exchange for StumbleUpon stumbles. As you know, getting your blog stumbled may drive a huge load of traffic to your pages. And all that is totally free publicity to your blog.

Rules are pretty simple, you only have to go to my blog home page http://tjantunen.com and Stumble “I like it!” (Or you can stumble this post). That’s it.

As you remember, Technorati favorites exchange was and still is a very successful project so let’s make also this project to another success story.

Stumble my blog

After you have stumbled my site, leave a comment with web site address you want to get stumbled and your StumbleUpon username. I will then go to your page and return the favor. My StumbleUpon username is Noviisi.

If you start similar exchange project with your own blog, I would be glad if you could include a link to this post. Then people would know that there is a similar exchange going on at T Jantunen.com.

SlashMySearch and proof of payment

Published by TJantunen under Make money online

See this post: Stop using SlashMySearch From there you can find my most recent thoughts about SlashMySearch.

Many have asked from me that do SlashMySearch really pay. As I have joined into their program just a five days ago I have not got self experience about it. But today while I was just viewing a few blogs I found two proof of payment. So without further talk, here are the pictures:

SlashMySearch payment

SlashMySearch payment

So as you can see, they are really paying to people. That is nice to know because there has been so many doubts about their payments.

Archivist, very handy plugin for Wordpress

Published by TJantunen under General

I got idea from my friend Daryl W.T Lay blog How To Earn Money Blogging to install plugin called Archivist. It is a plugin which shows your old posts randomly in your front page. I think that it is a superior way to get more attention to your older topics. Sometimes a good post may be buried to your archive pages and people will not find it easily. By using this Archivist plugin that is no longer a problem. I am sure that this plugin will increase hits to my older posts. I would like to thank Daryl for this great tip.

Week 16 earnings report

Published by TJantunen under Make money online

It is again time for weekly earnings update. First number indicates this week earnings and number in the bracket is cumulative earnings.

Week 16 earnings report (cumulative)

Revver.com ……… $0 ($6.5)
Adsense ……… $0.95 ($12.86)
Text Link Ads (referrals) ……… 0
Bidvertiser ……… $0 ($0.35)
Bloggind Ads ……… $0 (5$)
AGLOCO (referrals) ……… 0 (1)
Amazon.com ……… 0
eefoof ……… 0 ($1.49 March)
Kontera ……… $0.15 ($0.36)
Hits4Pay ……… $0.28 ($10.59)
Subvert and Profit ……… $0
Bloggerwave ……… $0 NEW
SlashMySearch.com ……… $0.57 NEW
MyLot ……… $0.43 ($0.72)
TOTAL (cumulative)
……… $2.67 ($38.67)

As you may noticed there is a couple of new programs. Those programs are SlashMySearch.com and BloggerWave. MyLot has been in my list earlier, but I removed it because I have not got time to spend there. Now MyLot has a new blog feature and you can add your blog to myLot. It is a cool feature. I think that posts will get more comments in myLot, because you are paid when commenting someones posts.

I got comments that my Hits4Pay earnings are not correct. Well, those are correct numbers, but you have to remember that when you join into Hits4Pay you get $10 joining bonus. And that is added to my earnings. I figured that if you have 10 direct referrals in Hits4Pay and everybody of those referrals have 4 referrals (10 x 4) and if everyone would read 3 paid emails per day, then you will get $1.20 in every day + your own paid to read emails. Then you would get your $25 check in every month. I think that the power of Hits4Pay is to have a good network under you.

My Bidvertiser earnings were zero. Probably because at this week I manually approved and declined ads. I tried to decline all not relevant ads, but as you see I might declined too many ads :) There is mainly shown “Your ad here for free” ad.

Comments subscription manager plugin

Published by TJantunen under General, Traffic

I have added a very cool plugin into my Wordpress blog. It is subscribe to comments plugin. With that plugin you can offer your readers an easy way to keep up with their favorite posts comments. I personally find that very useful option, because I check sometimes many blogs during a day and leave many comments. If blog is using that plugin and I find interesting topic to comment, I usually subscribe to it, that way I can check new interesting comments when they arrive. And if there is no Comments subscription plugin available I might forget to go back to that blog and check comments.

Subscribe to Comments is a robust plugin that enables commenters to sign up for e-mail notification of subsequent entries. The plugin includes a full-featured subscription manager that your commenters can use to unsubscribe to certain posts, block all notifications, or even change their notification e-mail address!
