Many bloggers want to improve their Alexa rankings because then you have a lot better opportunities to take for example high paying posts at PayPerPost program. Let’s take another example, if you have a choice between advertising on site A (Alexa ranking 240,000) or site B (Alexa ranking 100,000) it would not be difficult choice. Finally my blog is accepted to Text Link Ads publisher program. As you know, I have only been in with their affiliate program so far. I submitted my blog for approval about one and half month ago. And finally my waiting is over. I think that Text Link Ads is one of the best ways to monetize your blog. They are selling text link spots to my blog and I get payed monthly about those spots. They can sell maximum 8 link spots to my blog. Nice thing is that if they manage to sell links to my page, I get payments monthly even if no one ever click those links, because Text Link Ads is not cost per click basis system.

Also I have now possibility to join in ther Post Level Text Link Ads. In that system advertiser buys a spot at the end of your blog posts where he can put his Post Level Text Link Ad. Pricing of those ads is based purely to your posts Google Page Rank. So Post Level Text Link Ad would cost $8.0 at those posts which have PR4 (my whole blog ranking is PR4). I found this information about pricing from John Chows blog post, Post Level Text Link Ads Pricing Explained. I am not going to copy+paste all those PR pricing levels here, you can see those at Johns blog post.

Now I am just waiting and hoping that Text Link Ads can sell ad spots quickly to my blog. Being accepted to publisher program is a huge step for me and my blog.

Now it is time to show my week 18 earnings. First number indicates this week earnings and number in the brackets is all time cumulative earnings.

This week earnings were pretty good, because I received my first payment from Text Link Ads. I am not publishing any Text Link Ads yet, that money came from their affiliate program. As you can see, they are paying pretty good, concerning that I have got only one referral.

You may noticed that I have removed a couple of my programs from that list. That is because those programs did not managed to make any money, at least not yet. I run those programs about one month. Programs that I removed were Amazon.com, Blogging Ads and AGLOCO. Let’s see if some of those can make a come back to my list.

I think that building a good downline under your money making programs is a one big key to success. But I have thought that would people join via affiliate links to my different money making programs? Or do they just check the name of the program and then find it with google or some other way. I do join in programs via affiliate links if I find those programs from someones blog. Of course program that they are promoting has to be interesting and I have to see some money making potential with it.

By using someones affiliate link I support that blog and give some contribution of hard work. It is a kind of wrong if you see a good posting of some money making program and decided to join in, but not use affiliate link found from that blog. By doing that way, the blog owners hard work gets wasted and he is not getting any benefits from his writings or program introductions.

I know that there is and there always will be people who do not want to give a opportunity to someone other to make money with their affiliate programs. And the other hand those same people are putting their own affiliate links to blog and hoping that someone would join in programs with their affiliate links.

Many people will think that if you use someones affiliate link, you are earning a less money with that program. Well, that is not true. Your earnings are as good as joining in without using an affiliate link. Usually people who’s affiliate link you used gets some % of your earnings, but that money is not taken from your earnings, it may come from advertisers etc. So, if you find a good blog post about some money making program and decided to join in, use blog owners affiliate link. I am sure that after you make your posting of that program you would like people to use your affiliate program link too.

There is a new feature in myLot (or actually this feature has been live about one month now) where you can submit your blog in to their blogs directory. That is a good way to get some extra publicity for free to your blog. You can also have a widget to your blog which shows who is subscribed to your blog at myLot. You can find that widget from my right sidebar.

Nice thing about submitting your blog to myLot is that people will get paid when commenting your blog posts. So it is a good way to get more people commenting your writings. And of course you are getting paid also when replying to those comments. Also people who joins in to myLot via your widget are automatically added under your network. So it is also a good way to get more referrals.

I do not yet have any Text-Link-Ads in my blog, I am still waiting that they approve my site to their program. That money came from their affiliate program, I have one referral.
