Google’s Advanced Operators

Published by at 8:00 under General,Make money online

Google supports several different advanced operators. These operators are basically query words that have unique meaning to Google’s search engine. Query operators modify the search result that Google produces. Advanced operators can also perform special searches such as “link:” – this will basically show all websites that are linked to the domain you inputted after the colon.
Now let’s look at some others.

Info:
This operator will present some information that Google has with regards to your search query. So for example “info:www.domain.com” will show information about the domain.com home page.

Allintitle:
Along with the chosen search criteria, Google will look into the website’s title only for its search results. Searching for “Just Search” would return anything with either the word ‘Just’ or ‘Search’ within the website title.

Allinurl:
This is similar to allintitle except the search queries the URL string only. This will result in any URLs with the given search terms being returned. For example searching for ‘seo’ would return any websites which include the keyword within the domain name that are in Google’s index.

Stocks:
If you begin a search query with the ‘stocks’ operator, Google will return pages showing stock information for the stock symbols searched. “Stocks: intl yhoo” will show stocks for the companies Intel and Yahoo.

Please note there cannot be any spaces between the operator colon and the search term.
“operator:search-term”
