by Jeremy Sandcastle Router is considered as an important tool in a small or home office network. It is because of this innocent small box that everything in your set up runs smooth and remains connected. Many find it quite hazardous whenever they have to set up a router, as the given instructions on the manuals are often full of ambiguities that are quite hard to understand for a common person. Sony has officially confirmed that they are going to bring out a new, slimmer version of the PS3. The new version has a Matte Black finish, comes with 120GB storage and consumes less power that it’s predecessor. While it’s size has shrunk, the slim PS3 won’t support Linux install but that shouldn’t be a problem for most people. Apart from that, other features are the same found in the previous model. Another major thing is that Sony has reduced the price on the console to a much more desirable $299.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to participate as guest speaker to the first training session about Wikis at FAO and it was an enriching experience! The 2-hour session was moderated by  Gauri Salohke  and Romolo Tassone , both from the Web Knowledge Exchange and Capacity Building Division at FAO. These sessions at FAO are part of an ongoing series of workshops on the methods, tools and services that can facilitate knowledge sharing.

Yesterday we asked what 3 web apps or services you find the most exciting right now. Not your 3 most used or favorite, but the apps that currently make you tingly with excitement. We got some great responses in the comments, so in this post we pick out our top 10 from your choices. We’ve chosen the 10 in two batches. Firstly, the services that got the most number of mentions. As expected, these are well known apps that millions of people are using (or will use when it’s launched, in the case of Google Wave).
