The role of social networks as an online marketing and business strategies tool is gaining ground day-by-day. This demands spending considerable time on social media. It is important to find a balance between the social media activities and other marketing strategies. The time spent on social media can be utilized in a gainful way by using it to find new talent for your business. When you want to expand your team, this is the ideal place to search for a candidate.

About a month ago, my good friend Doug Karr, creator of the Marketing Technology Blog  invited me to become part of the team, and write the occasional blog post as a member of his community.  I was excited, and flattered, but challenged as well.  Now in addition to writing almost every day for Roundpeg ( I do enjoy when a member of my team writes a post, and gives me a day off) I have to develop relevant content for his audience too.

There’s been a lot written about social media and its impact on organisations today, but it’s easy to be caught up in the hype and dedicate a disproportional amount of effort into tapping into the medium. This may make sense of some businesses, but not all. For example, if you’re company selling a specialised form of rv warranty , then you may think that social media may be a good way to get in touch with your niche, but once you factor in that most of your audience prefer reading RV magazines, to spending time online, you have to start asking questions around the return on your investment.

Recently news come from HTC. They will release new TD-SCDMA mobile phone which branded as HTC Qilin. Information closer to China, where the biggest carrier in people’s republic of china (China Mobile), are planning to cover this cell phone. They seem to be working much more closely. HTC Qilin will adopt the latest technology of Microsoft Windows Mobil Operating System. This mobile phone is very similar to HTC WhiteStone from Verizon Wireless that working on latest CDMA network.

How many unsung environmental heroes are there in the world, tirelessly working to improve the health of the planet and all of the living creatures that call it home? In a culture where celebrities are applauded for taking the tiniest of steps while the everyday people doing the real work go mostly unnoticed by the general public, Timberland has dedicated itself to elevating environmental activists onto the global green scene.

Living the alternative lifestyle often finds people working at home. For them, this is a good way to get rich because not only are they in control of their money making activities, they get to do things that they actually like.
