Space Coaster Marble Run

Published by under Technology

Introduce a little fun to your office with the Space Coaster Marble Run, where this unique toy ought to keep you and your colleagues, awed at least for a while considering the £19.99 price tag it comes with. This is an “indescribably cool” set of sci-fi imagination which is part marble run, part physics experiment. Once you’ve gotten it up and running, just flip a switch to turn it one, place the two ball bearings in the central shaft and see them whiz around the rail at breakneck speeds. This is actually a self-perpetuating Ouroboros of a toy, and ought to keep bored colleagues’ eyes fixated on it without missing a beat. Since the balls have different routes to take, they take them randomly, making sure it offers a new viewing experience every single time.

How to Insert an Affiliate Link in WordPress

Published by under Make money online

Q: How do I add a tracking code url for special sales or coupons for my affliates on my blog site? I am using WordPress.

Shawn CollinsA: The process for creating an affiliate link in WordPress is the same as creating any link for a blog post.

You can get a text link from the affiliate program you wish to promote.

Then you highlight the word or phase in your blog post you want to use with the link, and click “link” in WordPress.

This enables you to paste the affiliate link into the WordPress link tool.

If you wanted to include code from the affiliate program that includes and affiliate link and a product image or banner, you can past the entire snippet of code into WordPress.

Backup and Restore applications installed on Cydia using Apt Backup

Published by under Technology

When you upgrade your iOS for iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, you don’t have to be worried about what you have downloaded previously. Everything is taken care of by iTunes. It doesn’t only take care of the backups and syncing after firmware update but also ensure setting of each application is restored completely.

Well this is not really the case for jailbreakers when there is a firmware update. Applications installed via Cydia need to be reinstalled one by one and not to mention, none of the application settings are reserved.

Luckily, there is AptBackup, an application meant for restoring Cydia-installed iPhone applications which effectively speeds up the process of reinstalling your favorite jailbreak apps. Basically, AptBackup creates a list of Cydia installed iPhone apps (it doesn’t really create a backup of the native iPhone apps). After a firmware update is completed, it uses this list to automatically reinstall the applications.

Here is how to backup your Cydia-installed applications

1. Search for AptBackup in Cydia and install it.
2. Tap on the “Backup” button to create a list of applications.
3. Sync your iDevice with iTunes (the list will gets synced to iTunes).
4. After you complete upgrading to the latest firmware, jailbreak it and reinstall AptBackup.
5. Launch AptBackup and click “Restore”. This will effectively reinstall Cydia applications based on the list you synced to iTunes previously.
