How Much More Money Can I Make With An Online MBA Degree?

Published by under Make money online

The cost of tuition can be so high at times that by the time you leave a particular educational institution, you’re in debt for tens of thousands of dollars. Even though getting an Online MBA or PhD can be far more cost-effective, it still costs. This comes at a time when people don’t have much to spread around. It may be cheaper, but you always want to know what it’s going to translate into in the long-run. This cost-prohibitive reality is often a deciding factor for people that would like to go back to school, but simply can’t afford it. Bettering one’s self is always a component in the decision, but especially in this job market, many people ask, “how much more am I going to make by going back to school?”

Of course, the answer is always more complicated than a simple figure, but in recent years, the employers have shown that they’re far more likely to hire someone with a masters or doctorate over their associate degree holding counterparts. For the most part, an MBA holder can generally expect to see a salary increase, but there are other factors that come into play when figuring out the final earnings and what you can expect. The devil is always in the details, and once you figure this out, you’ll have a much better idea of how much money you can expect to make with a higher-education degree.

Depending on what field or area that you’re wanting to get into, sometimes the prestige of a school’s name can play a factor. Even if it’s an online school, generally it’s a starting point and you want to make sure that any school you attend is accredited and has a good reputation. This is going to get your foot in the door and get people to take notice. Past that, where you go to school also depends on the quality of connections and networks you build. Better schools will translate into better pay. If you’re interested in an online school, do a lot of research to see how well the school has done and any feedback it’s gotten. You don’t want to waste precious time and money on a junk degree that translates to zero earnings.

The field you ultimately decide on, according to a GMAC Survey, plays a huge part in your earnings. It’s not that surprising, but important to take note of. According to the same survey, those graduates that decide to go into investment banking or find employment with consulting firms will usually earn a lot more than other people that hold an MBA. It usually translates into several thousands of dollars more per year. The same goes for the IT sector. This is a growing field since companies are relying more heavily on their technological capabilities. As always, government work seems to be an excellent place to go. People with good degrees that end up working for the government usually do quite well for themselves.

Have a specialized approach to your degree is always the best approach, perhaps the most important one. Automatically, when you get a higher degree you’re opening doors for a brighter future filled with more opportunities. This is even more so when you have a greater idea of what area of the market you want to get into. Very often people graduate school with even less of an idea of what they want to do as when the started their program. Deciding on a specialized education will cut down on the time it takes you to get the training and experience you need. Just think all of these things through before you make any decision so you’re not wasting your time and money.

Number of Products to Add to an Affiliate Site

Published by under Make money online

Q: I am about to start a beauty website; how much products should I put on the website… 5k, 10k, 15k, 20k, or more?

Shawn CollinsA: I think you are asking the wrong question.

You should be more focused on how you can make the site into a unique resource that people will want to visit.

The world doesn’t need or want another giant directory of products without any value added to it.

There must be a compelling reason for people to visit your site.

Don’t worry about how many products will be featured, but rather why people would want to go to the site.

Then scale up the site with your unique content, whether it be consumer reviews or what have you.

Can you imagine going to a site that is offering consumer reviews and just a fraction of the products have any review at all?

I wouldn’t want to return when I can go to more active and established sites, unless there was some other unique value to the site that I wasn’t getting elsewhere.

Google Plus vs. Facebook

Google Plus vs. Facebook: Who Will Win In the Battle of Social Networking Sites?

Surely Facebook felt very little guilt when all of Myspace’s fans began ignoring their accounts and started networking by the thousands through Facebook instead, but I wonder how they will feel now that the tides have turned.  Pretty soon Google may know exactly what it feels like when Google + takes the world by storm in the very near future.  It should not come by surprise that Google is trying to hop on the social networking bandwagon again as they have tried in the past with platforms like Google Buzz and Google Friend Connect.  But the new Google attempt at social networking has got a lot of features that it didn’t have before, and a lot of features that Facebook only wishes it could have.

Chatting On Facebook vs. Hanging Out On Google Plus

Why chat with your friends when you can hang out with them right?  Well, we never had the option otherwise before Google + but now we have no excuses.  Facebook’s cheesy chat area will likely be getting little attention when users discover that Google Plus allows users to video chat with multiple friends at once.  What makes the feature super cool though is that you never know who might stop by to “hang out” with you and your friends, so its like being out while having the luxury of staying in.  Staying home on a Friday night may just get a little less boring thanks to Google Plus.  Sorry Facebook but I think Google won this round…

Facebook Status Updates vs. Google Plus Circle Updates

It’s great being able to update everyone on what is going on in your life but somethings are meant for some to hear and not others.  Facebook’s status update section is better than Myspace’s was but the Google Plus Circles updates are going to be a major Facebook update competitor.  With Google’s new feature you can update different circles of friends and family with different information.  So your friends don’t have to know that your mom made you lunch on any given day and your mom doesn’t have to know that your going to a strip joint that night.  Facebook will be hard pressed to compete with a feature like that, and probably wouldn’t even try since “privacy” is an ambigous word to them to begin with.

Facebook Photo Sharing vs. Google Plus Instant Upload

Sharing photos through Facebook is a great way to share your experiences with friends and family but you could send them pictures in the mail by the time you get them uploaded to FB.  Google Plus is making it easier by doing all the work for you.  With Google + pictures are uploaded instantly so you can post them instantly.  Seems like Google + is winning this round too but I guess we will really just have to wait and see.

The preliminary evaluation puts Google + in the lead but until more people are”invited” to try it out we won’t know who the winner is going to be.  One thing we can be sure of though is that Google + has already got features that we have been waiting to see.

Your Blog Needs A Starting Point

Published by under Make money online

This is a guest post by Jennifer Brown Banks. If you want to guest post on this blog, check out the guidelines here.

Am I one of the only few Bloggers that realizes that almost every blog should have a starting point?

When I implemented a starting point within my blog, my email sign ups went from 1 to 2 a week, to 3 to 5 sign ups a day. My bounce rate went from 80% to 50%.

If your blog doesn’t have a starting point, you’re missing out on subscribers, along with some big time dollar.

Almost Every Blog Needs a Starting Point.

It’s extremely important for almost every blog to have a clear starting point. Although this strategy may not apply to news blogs, every other type of blog should have a place for newbies to begin their journey.

The key of your blog is to help people get from where they are to where they want to be.

Newbies can’t get from Point A to Point B if they don’t know where to begin. Even if you have thousands of quality articles, newbies are going to exit your website if they don’t have a defined starting point.

Where Do I Begin?

How many times have you come across an awesome blog and asked yourself the question, “So where do I begin?” I have come across hundreds of blogs that have no clear starting point.

In fact, Darren Rowse is one of the only Bloggers that I have seen with a clear starting point for beginners. (Located under the headline on the home page, “Popular at Problogger,” under the sub-headline, “For Beginners.”)

You’re The Leader, So Lead.

Pretend you’re a newbie visiting your website. Ask yourself the question, “Where do I begin?” If you have no clear starting point, you need to make one.

You need to have a clear call to action starting point for your readers. This means your starting point should be easy to follow, and located above the fold.

If you have a blog about blogging, your call to action would say something like, “Are You Tired Of Being a Failing Blogger? Get The Steps I Used To Go From Making $1.24 a day to $19.87 a day. Click Here to Learn More.”

You can link your subscribers to your opt-in form, and give away a free beginners eCourse. Alternatively, you can link your subscribers to a page that tells your story, and from that page, you can link to your opt-in form.

Final Thoughts.

I have been blogging for 3 years, and I have never had such a good visitor to subscriber ratio. For every 10 visitors that come to my website, at least 1 visitor is subscribing. That’s a 10% visitor to subscriber percentage, and on some days, that percentage is even better.

If you make a clear call to action, you will be on your way to increasing your subscribers.

Remember, the money is in the list. My friend recently made $200.00 in sales by sending a single email to 1,500 subscribers. That’s the easiest $200.00 he will ever make.

About the Author: I have been blogging for 3 years, and recently developed the strategy above to capture 1 out of every 10 of my visitors as email subscribers. Right now, my project is 91 Day Challenge dot Com. For the longest time, I was blogging for the money. I then realized that when I blogged about my passion, I made more money and had more fun. I suggest that you do the same.
